Feijoa

Ovoid or slightly pear-shaped, with segments of the calyx attached to the apex.
It emits a strong, long-lasting fragrance smell, even before it is ripe. The pulp is thick, white, and the central part, which is translucent, envelops the seeds. Its vitamin potential can translate into health benefits. It helps to prevent depression.

Taste

Sub-acid or sweet taste that suggests a combination of pineapple and guava.

The fruit is consumed fresh, but it is also used for juices, sweets, ice creams, compotes and jellies.
