Maracuya

There are different species of the passifloraceae family that produce fruits of passion. One of them is the fruit of the Passiflora edulis f. flavicarpa known as “Maracuya”; yellow.
It is a tropical and nutritious, aromatic fruit with a hard and smooth skin that wrinkles when ripe. It is round or oval, and inside it is filled with a viscous yellow-orange pulp, with abundant small black seeds. Loaded with antioxidants, vitamins and phyto nutrients.​

Taste

Sweet, fresh and slightly acidic.

The passion fruit is consumed in its natural form, without the need to cook it. It is also used in fruit salads, jams, exquisite smoothies, juices and desserts, being the Mousse one of the most recognized and appreciated.
