There are different species of the passifloraceae family that produce fruits of passion. One of them is the fruit of the Passiflora edulis f. flavicarpa known as “Maracuya”; yellow.
It is a tropical and nutritious, aromatic fruit with a hard and smooth skin that wrinkles when ripe. It is round or oval, and inside it is filled with a viscous yellow-orange pulp, with abundant small black seeds. Loaded with antioxidants, vitamins and phyto nutrients.
